International Women's Day is a powerful reminder of the amazing #women we have in our lives. Question is, can just a day pay off their crucial contributions.
Is a day sufficient? Well, the answer is a resounding 'NO'.
It would be like capturing sunshine in a single jar. Impossible, right?
I feel that's how it feels trying to encompass the enormity of #womanhood – the countless stories, triumphs, and struggles – in just 24 hours!!!
Women deserve recognition every single day, not just for being mothers, sisters, daughters, but for shaping every aspect of society.
They're doctors, teachers, artists, entrepreneurs, and even guardians of our nation, with their numbers increasing with passing time.
Then, how actually can we extend our gratitude by not just limiting it to a single day of the year?
It shouldn’t just be about grand gestures or expensive gifts. It should be about simple things we tend to forget….
Celebrating achievements: Friend’s or neighbour’s daughter has won a prize in school/college? Let us go ahead and tell her how proud we feel!!
Encouraging #equality: We notice someone making a sexist comment/remark? Let us speak up and challenge it.
Appreciate: Let us thank our wife for cooking a dinner, sister for being there always, friends for listening to us.
By simply celebrating their achievements, big and small, by encouraging equality and by showing appreciation we can truly celebrate women, not just for one day, but for who they are: everyday #heroes shaping our world.
